Merge prerequisites and replacement coverage
A merge consumes the required source defenses permanently. Max the correct buildings, choose the destination deliberately, and redesign the lanes that previously relied on separate coverage.

The objective at this level
Town Hall 16 introduces permanent defense merging through the Multi-Archer Tower and Ricochet Cannon, along with Ruin Witch levels 1-2, Spirit Fox, Angry Jelly, Thrower, and Troop Launcher. Ruin Witch converts destroyed-building rubble into pressure, so she needs an army that can create accessible rubble early and protect a non-attacking support troop while she works. Preserve a complete attack, test that sequence, and plan each merge against the coverage the layout will lose.

A merge consumes the required source defenses permanently. Max the correct buildings, choose the destination deliberately, and redesign the lanes that previously relied on separate coverage.
Ruin Witch cannot create the first opening or fight through a blocked route herself. Define which troops create rubble, how she reaches it, and what protects the spawned pressure before committing Laboratory time.
Source-defense upgrades, merged defenses, heroes, pets, Laboratory work, and walls create overlapping bottlenecks. Plan the queues so merge preparation does not stall offense.
