About Magic Items Optimizer
Magic Items in Clash of Clans — Books, Hammers, Runes, Potions, and Shovels — can save weeks or even months of upgrade time when used strategically. But with limited inventory slots and varying value per item, knowing which items to use on which upgrades is the difference between efficient progression and wasted resources.
The Magic Items Optimizer analyzes your current upgrade state and calculates the time-saved value of each magic item against every possible upgrade. A Book of Heroes is always most valuable on the longest hero upgrade available. A Hammer of Building should target the most expensive builder upgrade. The optimizer makes these decisions instant and data-driven.
Whether you're deciding between using a Book of Spells on a high-level Freeze Spell or saving it for a future Recall Spell upgrade, this tool gives you clear, quantified recommendations based on your exact account state.
How to use Magic Items Optimizer
- 1Import your village data to see your current upgrade levels.
- 2Select the magic items you have available in your inventory.
- 3View ranked recommendations showing the best target for each item.
- 4Compare time-saved values across different upgrade paths.
- 5Use the optimizer before every CWL medal shop purchase to maximize value.
Data-driven magic item recommendations based on your exact account state — never waste a Book or Hammer on a suboptimal upgrade again.
Calculation methodology
Player-linked results use current public profile data returned through the official Clash of Clans API. Export and manual modes use the values supplied in the imported snapshot or calculator fields. Costs and level ceilings come from ClashVault’s structured entity and upgrade-data catalogs; the result is calculated from those inputs rather than generated from descriptive page text.
Results are planning estimates, and a newly released Supercell update may change a cost or cap before our catalog is reviewed. Confirm recently changed values in game and send us a correction if a displayed input no longer matches.
A calculated duration is not a guaranteed completion date. Unless a tool says otherwise, it does not simulate future builder or Laboratory availability, farming pace, storage constraints, magic items, temporary event boosts, downtime, or later balance changes. Use the result to compare options and prepare the next queue, then confirm the actual upgrade screen in game.
