Clash of Clans August 2026 Events Calendar: What to Do and When

Plan the Clash of Clans August 2026 season with a source-reviewed calendar, overlap priorities, and goal-based actions for upgrades, rewards, and Clan activity.

The August 2026 Clash of Clans calendar is crowded, but the planning decision is simple: protect the limited windows that match your current goal instead of treating every event as equally urgent. Clash of Cards and Clan War League begin on August 1. Short spell and troop grants appear during the first half of the month. The Awesome Medal Event, two Resource Fest windows, Clan Games, and the Revenge Deck boost create a heavier progression stack later in August.

Answer first: Check ClashVault's Events planner for the reviewed current window, choose one goal, and then use the calendar below. Upgrade-focused players should prepare funded work for August 15–17 and August 29–31. Reward-focused players should maintain their Clash of Cards collection and review the Awesome Medal Event from August 12. Clan-focused players should protect CWL availability from August 1–11 and coordinate Clan Games before August 22.

Creator-preview context: Judo Sloth Gaming's August overview, used to identify player questions and claims requiring primary-source verification, not as authority for official dates, prices, or rewards.

Official August 2026 calendar

The dates below come from Supercell. Unless a row explicitly includes a UTC time, Supercell published a date range rather than an exact opening or cutoff clock. Use the in-game event panel as the final authority near a boundary.

August 29–31Resource Fest + Work for Hire #2A second 4x collector production-and-capacity boost arrives with Goblin Builder help.Which funded queue should receive the month's final temporary progression advantage?

Supercell also launched three Crafted Defenses on August 1—Cake-A-Pult, Hero Hunter, and Hot Candle—and made the season's Crafted Defenses available from Town Hall 11. That is a season feature, not another short timer in the table. Check the live Crafting Station for upgrade requirements and current values.

What overlaps, and what matters next

The most useful view of August is not eleven isolated cards. It is a sequence of overlaps. An event becomes valuable when it changes a decision you were already going to make.

DatesOverlapping prioritiesSensible default order
August 1–2Clash of Cards + CWLConfirm the CWL roster and attacks first; collect available cards during normal play.
August 3–5Clash of Cards + CWL + Mass Spell #1Protect war execution, then use the spell grant for deliberate practice or normal attacks. Do not let card collection distract from a scheduled war hit.
August 6–8Clash of Cards + CWL + Chief's ChroniclesKeep CWL commitments first. Open the year-in-review when convenient; it has a much longer published window.
August 9–10Cards + CWL + 24-hour troop grant + Chief's ChroniclesConfirm the account's in-game 24-hour clock. Reserve a focused session if the army grant interests you, but do not miss a CWL attack.
August 11Cards + final listed CWL date + Chief's ChroniclesFinish any outstanding Clan responsibility before shifting attention to the medal-event phase.
August 12–14Cards + Awesome Medal Event + Chief's ChroniclesLearn the live medal track, identify the confirmed reward target, and avoid spending currency from preview assumptions.
August 15–16Cards + Medal Event + Chief's Chronicles + Resource Fest #1Keep collectors from sitting full, prepare a funded queue, and decide whether Goblin Builder removes a real bottleneck.
August 17–18The same stack + Heal/Haste grantProgression planning remains the durable value; treat the spell grant as a short practice opportunity.
August 22–25Cards + Medal Event + Chief's Chronicles + Clan GamesCoordinate Clan Games early while continuing normal medal and card progress.
August 26–28The same stack + Revenge Deck boostTest Revenge Deck in an army you understand; complete Clan Games responsibilities before the listed August 28 end date.
August 29–31Cards + Medal Event + Chief's Chronicles + Revenge Deck + Resource Fest #2Finish confirmed reward goals, test the boosted Equipment, and convert collector/Goblin Builder value into a funded final queue.

This order is not a universal tier list. A competitive CWL participant has a different constraint from a farmer with no war assignment. A nearly maxed player may care more about one missing Equipment level than an extra builder. A progressing Town Hall may gain more from army capacity or a key laboratory level. The calendar tells you when an opportunity exists; your account goal determines whether it deserves priority.

Choose a plan by goal

Goal 1: upgrade faster

Upgrade-focused players should plan backward from the two Resource Fest windows instead of waiting for the boost to appear.

  1. Open Left to Max and choose the input that matches the question. A player tag gives an offensive snapshot; a village export provides broader building, trap, wall, and Builder Base coverage.
  2. Read the tracked count, unmapped warnings, and economics coverage before using cost or duration totals. Missing economics rows are not zero-cost upgrades.
  3. Pick one primary bottleneck: a builder unlock, a laboratory level for the main army, a Hero milestone, a key building, or completion work at the current Town Hall.
  4. Prepare one must-do upgrade and one lower-cost fallback before August 15. Repeat the review before August 29.
  5. Keep normal Builders productive. Goblin Builder is useful only when the extra queue is worth the cost shown in game and can be funded without stalling a higher-priority slot.

The 4x collector boost affects production and capacity; it does not turn collectors into unlimited storage and does not guarantee that passive income will fund a particular upgrade. Clear collector capacity before it is wasted, collect often enough for the account's routine, and keep farming expectations separate from the published multiplier.

Goal 2: maximize rewards

Reward-focused players have three jobs: maintain the card collection, understand the live Awesome Medal Event, and use the Revenge Deck boost as a trial rather than as proof of permanent value.

  • For Clash of Cards, collect available battle and event packs, protect the only copy of a card, and trade duplicates with collection gaps in mind. The exact September 2 at 08:00 UTC claim-and-trade deadline is unusually precise; do not replace it with an approximate end-of-month assumption.
  • For the Awesome Medal Event, inspect the live reward track before planning a spend. Supercell's season announcement confirms Card Tokens, Quest Medals, Trader Shop use, Elephant Rider access, and Card Packs. It does not publish a complete shop catalog in that post.
  • For Revenge Deck, compare the boosted Equipment inside a familiar army. Record what changed: survivability, damage timing, or an attack phase that became more reliable. Then compare its real value with existing Equipment before committing ore.

Use the Ore Calculator to compare the cost of a target Equipment level with current ore inventory. The calculator helps quantify a choice; it does not know the final Awesome Medal Event shop catalog or decide that one Equipment is best for every army.

Goal 3: help the Clan

Clan value is mostly coordination. CWL and Clan Games should not become many players independently guessing what matters.

  • Confirm CWL roster availability and missed-war risk before the relevant round.
  • Ask for the next assignment in the in-game league screen rather than inferring a reset clock from the August 1–11 date range.
  • Use temporary army grants only when they fit the Clan's actual attack plan. A fun event army is not automatically the safest war army.
  • Agree on a Clan Games opening routine before August 22. Early communication reduces duplicated effort and makes it easier to distribute tasks across account strengths.
  • Track the Clan's shared progress and individual availability. Do not promise a reward tier or point cap that Supercell's July 31 post did not publish.

Use ClashVault's reviewed guide library to find current planning material, and keep the in-game league screen as the authority for August round timing.

Resource Fest and Goblin Builder: a practical queue

Resource Fest #1 runs August 15–17, and Resource Fest #2 runs August 29–31. Supercell confirms a 4x boost to collector production and capacity plus Goblin Builder help. The announcement does not state a universal Goblin Builder cost, eligibility rule, or exact opening clock. Those values belong to the live game.

Build a queue in four passes.

1. Identify the constrained slot

Ask whether the account is blocked by a normal Builder, the laboratory, a Hero or pet lane, resources, or missing prerequisite work. An extra builder does not solve a laboratory bottleneck. More passive loot does not solve a queue with no useful upgrade selected.

2. Compare the extra upgrade with the next normal completion

If a normal Builder finishes soon, saving resources for that completion may beat paying for an extra long project. If every normal Builder is occupied for days and a high-value upgrade is fully funded, Goblin Builder may create useful parallel progress. The choice depends on the live price and the value of the work, not on the existence of an event badge.

3. Protect the follow-up queue

Starting an extra upgrade can empty storage and leave the next normal Builder idle. Keep enough resources—or a realistic farming plan—for the next scheduled completion. If the account cannot fund both, prefer the queue that removes the larger bottleneck.

4. Use walls as a fallback, not the plan

Walls can absorb overflow when a builder is available and a larger upgrade is not ready. They should not automatically outrank army capacity, a key defense, or an unlock because resources are near full. Choose the high-value queue first; use a safe fallback when timing or storage requires it.

The result should be short: one primary upgrade, one parallel candidate, and one overflow fallback. A thirty-item list is not a queue because it avoids the actual decision.

CWL and Clan Games without invented timers

Supercell lists CWL for August 1–11 and Clan Games for August 22–28. Those are official date ranges. The season post does not give an exact UTC opening time, war-round schedule, Clan Games reward table, individual point cap, or August-specific tier list.

For CWL, the in-game league screen controls signup, roster, and round timing. Plan availability there. A player who cannot attack during a round should communicate early; a player with a difficult matchup should ask whether the Clan wants a safe plan, a mirror, or a different assignment. The useful outcome is a completed, coordinated attack—not a generic claim about maximum possible medals.

For Clan Games, organize by effort and account capability. Some players can finish high-value tasks quickly; others may need Builder Base, donation, or battle tasks that fit their routine. Agree on how the Clan will respond if progress is slow, but do not build the plan around an unconfirmed August reward table. Read the live panel when the event opens.

Spell and troop grants: treat them as experiments

August includes three short army changes:

  • August 3–5: 100 Totem Spells and 15 Birthday Boom Spells.
  • August 9–10: 50 Elephant Riders and 20 Super Valkyries for 24 hours.
  • August 17–18: 30 Heal Spells and 30 Haste Spells.

The official article confirms the quantities and published dates. It does not establish every mechanic, interaction, Town Hall requirement, or exact clock that appeared in previews and commentary.

Use a controlled comparison:

  1. Start with an army and attack purpose you understand.
  2. Change one important variable instead of replacing the entire plan.
  3. Record whether the temporary grant improved a specific attack phase.
  4. Avoid spending permanent resources based on one event-only result.
  5. Confirm the live army and timer in game before a last-minute session.

The Elephant Rider and Super Valkyrie grant is described as lasting 24 hours within the August 9–10 date labels. Those two listed dates do not prove a 48-hour window. ClashVault therefore does not show an exact countdown until Supercell or the live game supplies the activation clock.

Awesome Medal Event and Revenge Deck: two decisions

The Awesome Medal Event runs August 12–31. Revenge Deck receives its max-by-Hero-Hall boost later, from August 26–31. Treat these as separate decisions.

During the medal event, earn the confirmed currencies and inspect the live Trader Shop. Choose a target based on the account's actual army and progression plan. Do not assume a previewed Equipment, ore bundle, shop grace period, or price exists until it is visible in an official event article or the live game.

During the Revenge Deck boost, test the Equipment at the ceiling allowed by the account's Hero Hall. A temporary maximum answers a practical question: does the Equipment improve this army enough to deserve permanent ore? It does not answer whether Revenge Deck is universally best. Compare it with the loadout and attack style the player already uses.

If the test is promising, use the Ore Calculator to model a target level. If it is not, keep the ore for a higher-confidence upgrade. Temporary access should reduce uncertainty, not create pressure to spend.

Clash of Cards: the deadline that is exact

Clash of Cards runs August 1–31 for Town Hall 3 and above. Supercell confirms that cards come from battles and events, duplicates can be traded with online Clanmates, and duplicates can be exchanged at the Trader Shop for Booster Packs. Collection rewards include permanent and progression rewards. Most importantly, reward claiming and trading close September 2 at 08:00 UTC.

The collection loop raises four recurring questions:

  1. Which cards are missing?
  2. Which duplicates are safe to trade?
  3. Is a direct Clan trade better than exchanging duplicates for a random pack?
  4. What must be claimed before September 2 at 08:00 UTC?

ClashVault's reviewed event detail is available at Clash of Cards. For the complete collection-and-trading workflow, use the Clash of Cards event guide.

Do not use an unofficial preview to fill gaps in released rules. Development-build prices, limits, purchase flows, and mechanics can change. Confirm the live collection screen before giving away duplicates or spending currency.

Cosmetics and season additions are separate from event priorities

Cosmetics can matter to collectors, but they should not be mixed into an upgrade or reward calculation. Supercell lists the following August availability:

AvailabilityCosmetic or season itemOfficial boundary
August 1–31Gold Pass and Tempest Champion skinThe season's Gold Pass includes the Tempest Champion Hero Skin. This guide does not assume a purchase or assign it progression value.
August 3–31The Awesome Quest SceneryA themed scenery tied to the August card-battle setting.
August 5–31King Barbarian skinBarbarian King cosmetic.
August 7–31Elven Archer skinArcher Queen cosmetic.
August 9–31Drakan Duke skinDragon Duke cosmetic.
August 11–31Lich Prince skinMinion Prince cosmetic.
August 13–31Grand Mage skinGrand Warden cosmetic.
August 15Clash-A-Rama cosmetics returnSupercell says classic cosmetics return to the Shop. The post does not provide a universal end date for this row.

The Clashiversary Cake obstacle also returns during the celebration. Supercell encourages players to keep one, but the announcement does not attach a separate exact spawn clock.

This separation prevents three errors: treating a shop release as a gameplay timer, treating a cosmetic purchase as progression, or using preview prices as permanent official values.

Common August calendar mistakes

Treating every listed date as an exact UTC cutoff

Only the Clash of Cards claim-and-trade close is published here with an exact time: September 2 at 08:00 UTC. The other rows use date-only bounds. Check the in-game timer near an edge.

Using the official Chief's Chronicles start date

Supercell's official announcement lists August 6–31. Use that primary-source range rather than a preview date.

Repeating temporary-troop mechanics from a preview

The official calendar confirms quantities and windows. It does not confirm every wall, targeting, spell-drop, or balance interaction discussed around a development build. Test released behavior in game.

Calling Resource Fest a 2x boost

Supercell says both August Resource Fest windows provide 4x collector production and capacity, plus Goblin Builder help.

Treating Revenge Deck as a revenge-attack loot bonus

Revenge Deck is Epic Equipment. The August 26–31 event boosts it to the maximum level allowed by the player's Hero Hall. It is not a multiplier for revenge-attack loot.

Assuming the Awesome Medal Event's entire shop

The season post confirms the event loop and several rewards, but it does not publish the complete catalog, price list, pass contents, or shop grace period. Wait for live or dedicated official details.

A seven-step August routine

  1. Open the Events planner and confirm the reviewed current and upcoming rows.
  2. Check the in-game timer for any date-only event near its boundary.
  3. Choose one goal: upgrade faster, maximize rewards, or help the Clan.
  4. Complete scheduled Clan commitments before optional experimentation.
  5. Keep Clash of Cards progress moving, but protect the September 2 at 08:00 UTC claim-and-trade deadline.
  6. Prepare a funded queue before each Resource Fest instead of reacting after collectors fill.
  7. Recheck official news when the Awesome Medal Event receives dedicated details or the live game differs from the July 31 overview.

Methodology: official facts versus ClashVault analysis

This guide uses a strict evidence boundary:

  • Official facts are dates, quantities, eligibility statements, reward categories, and feature descriptions published by Supercell in The Awesome Quest Is Here! The Clash of Cards deadline and collection details come from Supercell's dedicated Clash of Cards Event article linked above.
  • ClashVault analysis is the prioritization framework, overlap order, queue design, and questions players can use to make a decision. These recommendations are original editorial analysis, not claims that Supercell endorses one upgrade or reward path.
  • Preview material is Judo Sloth Gaming's August overview linked above. It was consulted only to identify questions players are likely to ask and claims that require correction. It is not authority for prices, unreleased mechanics, dates that conflict with Supercell, affiliate promotions, or development-build behavior.

That boundary is why this guide uses August 6 for Chief's Chronicles, calls the Resource Fest boost 4x, avoids unconfirmed Elephant Rider mechanics, and refuses to invent cutoff clocks for date-only rows.

Event information can change through maintenance, regional rollout, or a later official post. The live game is the final operational source. ClashVault will update this guide when a newer primary source materially changes the reviewed schedule.
